They're not hard to install at all. If you can do a swap you can put a turbo in.

Essentially the hard part consists of tuning. The easy stuff is taking your exhaust manifold off, putting the new one with the turbo on, running piping from the turbo to the intercooler to the Intake manifold and putting on parts like new injectors, a wastegate, a blowoff valve, etc.

rods and pistons are your best friend could go without but you will just be fixing more then just the rods and pistons when they "dont" hold. Ive only built ls/vtec and b20/vtec all motor projects but in my first build about 4 years ago I had a stock rod break in a all motor ls/vtec couldnt emagine that stress with a turbo added. High rpms+turbo+vtec+bottum end not built for any or the last listed=boooooom. Have seen friends push their limits with stock honda blocks and that limit was found quickly everytime. Sence from what ive read its your daily driver I would say "hell no" on boosting that motor sence its all ready been beat on from being a ls/vtec that was not even built for that task. Tuners make cars run well making the car fast and reliable on stock parts is for the fant hearted and people with big pockets with nothing better to do. Build or Boom!

wel ima be building and extra ls block. ima make it a complete race motor. pistons rod balanced crank u name it ima make it put out some power. i was jus goin to put the turbo on the stock block and boost around 6psi with stg 2 cams. (turbo cams) and limit the rev to about 7 grand maybe lower i was thinkin 6 1/2 just til i get the other bottom end complete. im barely goin to start the bottom end and have pistons(itr) rods(gsr) complete bearings ect, and i juss need to buy the block gaurd balance the crank machine work and of course assembly. but wat do u think will be better? ls vtec turbo fully built or ls fully built turbo?

You don't know what you're talking about. Stop speculating.

6lbs of boost isn't going to do anything to his motor and he DAMN SURE doesn't need rods to do that.

u can boost it wit six pounds but take in mind tha a ls/vtec isnt really reliable it'll be less reliable now that your addin a turbo on it... but sum1 kinda was off track wit the whole boom thing it wont blow unless u dropin +8pds of boost bcuz den u gotta worry about compression
