type-r Max Boost on Turbo GSR?

Hey,
i have a integra gsr witht he stock 10.1:1 compression ratio and an all custom hoem made turbo system. right now my deltagate is set to 5psi and no detonation is occuring. I have a massive FMIC and keeps all that boosted air really cold. There is no intake on the turbo and you can hear the turbo spool @ 2000rpm ans begin to boost at 3000rpm. Full boost i achieved at about 4100rpm of 5psi. I can really feel it and its great! But i want more!
My setup for fuel is just a walbro 255lph in tank fuel pump (really loud) and a vortech 12:1 FMU. The clutch and stock and i can feel it slip really bad now. Can i boost 8psi withotu detonation?

what are you doing in the way of detonation management? if nothing then you could look into a msd det man unit or maybe a gasket like f-max uses on their kits , w/ those you could go higher but not too high cuz ur internals need to be upgraded to go higher then that

im not sure bout this but wouldn't the intake help the turbo spool faster cuz the air would get there easier? again not sure bout this

Hey- IntegraTypeRice

Are you running on stock internals? Is your turbo setup a kit of some kind or is it something else? What kind of setup is it? I'm planning on going turbo myself, but I'm not sure what application is reliable for my 00 teg. I mean- if you've had your turbo for 2 years and you're boosting 8 lbs with no problems, I'd say the turbo you're running is pretty reliable.

I ran 14 psi on a stock GSR motor with a block guard installed. The car ran for over a year without a problem.
