A few days ago my car started smoking and over the past few days has gotten worse. I was told it was the rings so I did a compression test today 180 - 110 - 180 - 130. It smokes white/blue out the exhast and the valve cover. Someone said the turbo seals might be bad and to see if there is oil in the intercooler pipes, so I took the piping off closest to the intake manifold and oil was dripping out of it. Any suggestions or thoughts on what the problem is or other things to check to find out the problem would be appreciated.
My motor is a 95 LS (stock), and the a t3/t4 turbo.
well, given your compression test results the engine definately needs a rebuild...however having a lot of oil in the piping usually signifies a turbo seal problem as well. I hate to say it but I think both need a rebuild.
