my drag car

well just finished my drag car it previously sat for 2 years with no motor collecting dust and last week it came back to life after words were spoken from some domestic guys that pissed me off so myself and a co-worker work for 2 day straight to finish it before test and tune last week. i only had 30 minutes to tune it on ems and it made 437whp and 300ft lbs of torque @12psi
threw it on the trailer and made it to tech with 10 min. to spare unloaded it and on the first pass it posted a 11.50@122 domestic guys were nowhere to be found so i made a couple of adjustments went back to staging and on the second pass it blasted a 11.33@127 roasting the tires all the way down the track it has more in it i cant wait for this weekend to come

specs:
bone stock gsr motor
ls tranny with a drag spool
skunk intake manifold
full race manifold t-4 flange
garrett gt35r
tial 44mm wastegate
3inch dp
pwr liquid cooled intercooler
rc 1000 cc injectors
aem ems
pwr radiator
greddy bov
gator 600hp axles

dyno #:437 whp and 300tq @12 psi on c-16

11.33 @ 127

I've always wander why they don't put intercooler on drag cars???

Is cos they just run for few seconds and then they shut em off or is it anything else?

You still gotta think, 12psi or not the more power you make the more stress everything in the bottom end has to handle. The more power the higher the cylinder psi on the power stroke. I don't know the limits of a stock gsr engine but I would guess you are damn close to them. But good job for making that much hp with that little boost on a stock b18

did it have engine management? i would never run a stock motor on a honda ecu or even a piggy back system or hondata standalone is the only way to go for boosted applications so far the results of what im doing speaks for itself

well took it to the track tonight and blasted a 10.93 @134 on its first pass and was promptly backed up with a 10.90 @134 with major tire spin all the way down the track

WOW is all I can say, I love this set-up.

Can't wait to see it once the new block and stuff goes in. I like the supports to hold the radiator. Did you make them yourself or buy them?

O YEA, THIS IS MY 500th POST
