ebay intercooler? Nice build but Im a little disapointed with that intercooler. Way to big in my opinion and the end cap designs kill the flow. You'll only be actually flowing air through half of it. Whats the core thickness? You could go to a much smaller intercooler thats a little bit thicker and actually cool much better with improved air flow. Why not even make your own intercooler? But everything else is looking good.

I had 5 of these intercoolers in total. In general, people that are on a budget still prioritize wanting large fmic, so I kept several of this in stock. Having been on a budget I used what I had to save costs. When I build the car over winter, the core will certainly be changed. I don't like quack parts...but sometimes budget owns you.
This is truly splitting hairs here though. I've built cars with well over 400whp using these cores, as well built cars that ran 11's on log manifolds. Sure, neither are an ideal setup from a "flow" standpoint, but for the goals of this build I feel the intercooler will be just fine.
As far as making my own intercoolers, it certainly wouldn't be an issue. My TIG is A/C capable and I weld aluminum just as well as I do stainless. I just haven't sourced what I feel are affordable cores. If I could get a line on a descent core, then I'd be all over making my own. I would love the flexibility, and I likely would've back-doored the hot side, if not both sides to shorten and reduce the overall charge pipe volume.

Thanks man.....
Heading down today to get some work done on the car. Hopefully this damn traction bar setup will get done today.
I'm unfortunately getting slammed with other work, and I am in the middle of building another manifold, which will be followed by a new DSM manifold design a local guy is paying me to build for his track car. I have another turbo setup to do after this is done, then I have an H2D EF to do, which will be followed by a 95 S10 SS 4.3 custom turbo setup using a 60trim Garrett. The S10 will be managed by a standalone ecu which I am building entirely myself.

Well, my part timer called off today, and I had to continue working on a manifold I need to get done, so no progress today.
GOOD news though...the injectors I thought I was getting scammed on arrived! So Precision 880's are in the house .
I'm gonna hit it tomorrow though. I'm gonna try and get the pan on, timing belt all finished, charge piping started, and the intake mani put together. We'll see.....
I just want this sh*t to run....missin the whole summer here and driving my lifted 4runner is getting old.

I've been doing alot of other work, so I haven't been able to hit the Del Sol for a couple of days. I ordered some last minute parts for the traction bar, because I can't mock it up until I have the small spacers. I also had to get the .035 restrictor for the GT30, also is on the way now.
I decided to get started on the charge piping. This is when I got PISSED. I buy all my mandrel stainless from someone on honda-tech, and I've absolutely had it with buying from them. The last stainless I got was f*ckin covered in this lubricant which was impossible to remove entirely. I even took the shit to the car wash and pressure washed the hell out of it.
In the end, it left some contamination in my welds here and there...and nothing will piss me off like contaminated welds. I fly off the handle like a f*ckin wild m*therf*cker. Ended up my welding table paid the price and I bashed the sh*t out of it at the peak of anger. I WILL NOT BUY FROM this dude again!
Anyway...here's the some pics...I got the charge pipes completely welded except for the bov flange. I also mocked up the downpipe partway. Some pics:
Downpipe mocked up almost entirely...still needs welded

Some finished downpipe pics. All the welds are done, all pipes welded for this project have been fully backpurged (argon from bottle on table "blown" into inside of pipe to shield the weld from the backside), and in this case I use a thick aluminum plate to bolt the downpipe flange to in order to prevent warpage. Rad mounts, and some traction bar stuff should be getting done tomorrow.

Kick ass build. I just found a del sol like yours(partially complete) and am thinking about going with a stock B20 on 10psi. Should be good for 250whp if I am lucky.
Great job!

A tune on E85 gas. I know NepTune has a program that allows you to switch maps between your regular gas and E85 with a switch of a button.
