I know a good deal about oils, if you want some pointers let me know. Since your fooling around with turbochargers the weight of the oil isn't as important as you may think it is. How tolerant the oil is to the higher temps a turbocharged motor produces is.
I suggest you read the oil link in my signature, also check the very bottom of that PDF document for flame/fire points. I highly suggest you learn what NOACK is, being that turbocharged vehicles really need a good rating there. Note that the default 13.00 thats listed for many company's NOACK ratings in the end of that document is the "default" and was not provided by the company. 10w40 is pretty good, but I wouldn't start mixing oils like that.
Are you just turbocharging the stock engine? Is it fully built?
I've been doing a lot of research. I'm trying to go turbo myself on my car, and thats ALL I can think about when I'm not actively doing something, today I felt like a 5 year old going to Disney world.
As for your transmission, use the same grade that Honda originally put in there. Adding the turbo will increase stress on the tranny(I'm damn sure your foots gonna be in that gas

) so you may want to slightly increase the weight of the trans oil for extra shear protection. Get a Fully synthetic gear oil and don't use any stabilizer in it.
If you want some helpful thoughts on your turbo project just hit me up on AIM. I'll be glad to give ya some insight.
