Question on BOV

hey the blow off valve's we were talking to a guy at this store where they sell parts and he said if u put a blow off valve on a stock turbo and u dont race ur car or anything it can hurt ur engine....is that tru?

Steel is an unknown quantity at this point
I wouldn't see how it would hurt it at all. As long as you tune it correctly so you dont get compressor surge you should be ok.

The only way it could hurt the engine is if you had it vented to atmoshere and when there was vacuum in the intake(like from driving easy with no boosting), it would open and suck dust and crap in. Vent back to the intake and you shouldnt have any problems.
