To buy, or not to buy...
A friend of mine bought a 52" Samsung Lcd hdtv a little over a year ago. He claims to have paid around $1500.00 for it. It has a five year warranty on it with about 4 years left. His new girlfriend just moved in and brought her 60" sony with her, so now he wants me to buy the samsung. He only wants $650 for it and I think I might do it. What do you guys think ? Is this a deal or no ?

I dont know what kinda warranty it is. I just know it has like 4 years left on it. I looked at the same tv at best buy and its $3k. My buddy bought it from K's Merchandise which was going out of business, so he got a deal on it. I just dont know a lot about tv's.

I'd say go for it. $650 is a sweet price for a Sammy 52" LCD even though it's a year+ old. As for the warranty, it's been good for over a year and should be good for many more. I don't see it going out now for no reason at all.

Well I went and talked with him the other night about doing this and apparently he doesnt just want to sell the tv now... He wants me to pay him $950 for the entertainment center ,samsung 5:1 surround sound, and the tv. I think I'm gonna do it. It seems like a deal to me.
Oh and the warrenty is a full warrenty

get the exact model number....i was looking at this sharp aquos 46" but then went to the website...and there are like 4 or 5 of em...different contrast ratios, # of hdmi inputs, diff resolutions.....and then once you get the model id number go to www.c n e t.com to check it out

I looked at his surround sound at best buy and the entertainment center receipt. I figure I'm getting around $2500 Worth of shit thats less than a year old for a thousand bux. Sounds straight to me.
