digital cable descrambler?

do any of you know anything about these??? my friends have been telling me that you can buy one of these digital cable descrambers and put it on your regular cable, then you will get the digital channels even though you don't subscribe to the digital channels... any truth to this??? or am i better just buying a regular cable descrambler???

J30A1Accord will become famous soon enough
Here in the DFW area the regular cable des are pretty much useless now because the cable companies here have pretty much switch to digital cable. No more A and B.

So I guess I there is a digital cable des., that is what you are going to want.

I used to have the rigged up cards for Directv until they kept zapping them like every week. I remember when they used to last for a few months with no problems. So, I am now a subscriber to Directv since all this crap is getting harder to do.
