the best phone I ever had was an LG phone from Verizon, maybe 4 years ago. LG has that Voyager phone coming out next week...it might just be enough to get me back on verizon just for that phone.

that phone is pricey, $400+ with a 2 year contract. It's just as much as an Iphone but i'd rather use the iphone OS over the weakass Verizon os. That was the main reason why I left from Verizon in the first place. Their OS sucks balls, and they disable everything on their phones. No full bt, no wifi, and basically anything revolving around communicating to anther phone or pc has been disabled. All their freakin OS looks exactly alike with hardly any room to customize anything. But if you're just lookin for a phone that has great call quality, and great service then Verizon would be it. Otherwise, you're better off going to tmobile or cingular cause they don't disable every damn thing on their phones.

I'm actually with t-mobile at the moment...and if they hadn't screwed me over the way they did, I wouldn't even think to change carriers. I left Verizon 4 years ago for different reasons. I don't know what their customer service is like now, but it sucked balls back then. I also had an unreasonable amount of dropped calls, despite that I was in areas where I had a full signal. I've been heavily eyeballing the iPhone, and I think that's the one I'm going with. I had it narrowed down to the AT&T Moto Q, the iPhone, and that Voyager. I also believe the OS on the iPhone gives it the upper hand. I have a PC and a Mac, and despite that they are equally good computers, the Mac OS gives me far less problems. That's the advantage the iPhone has over the Moto Q. The Q, like my current phone (Wing), runs Windows Mobile, and thus behaves like a windows device....freezing up and needing to be restarted periodically.

The iphone is nice and it's one of the thinnest phones on the market. But the thing that drove me away from the iphone was well the price tag and not being able to customize it much. I haven't really checked it out but my co worker who has an iphone, said that you can't install any software in it like flash and stuff like that. I have a windows mobile phone myself and i agree, it is a crap OS but i actually installed a custom rom os on it so it runs really good. I currently have a customized windows mobile 6 os installed on my phone atm.

That's true about the customization, or lack thereof. But Apple doesn't seem to be turning away requests. With each firmware update, there is always some sort of new functionality added to the phone. The latest one enabled users to use their own sounds or songs as custom ringtones, as opposed to having to buy a song, and purchase the right to make it INTO a ringtone. Also in February, Apple is releasing a software developers kit for the iPhone which is going to allow people to make apple approved software for the iphone. You are also right about Windows Mobile being very customizable. My T-Mobile Wing is the most customizable phone I've owned. So with me, it's down to the Moto Q from AT&T, or the iPhone. We'll see though...
lg may make some good phones but not all i had a LG slider on sprint and i had to get it fixed, and replaced 3 times before i finally upgraded to a SAMSUNG!!!!
