I don't need to stop, because my argument has not changed:
What I have said to this point is fact, and your inability to accept it is your deal, so don't take it out on me.
You should just make a blog to vent all of your rage/hate there. You could call it, 'tha_angry_gamer.'

Who's angry? I'm trying to explain something to you, you're saying that the BDA is doing everyone this huge 'injustice' with their hardware.
Fact is, DVD players, Xbox's, Blu-Ray players, HD DVD Players, PS2's, and hundreds of thousands of other electronics all hurt early adopters. If you can name tons of scenario's where Early Adopters didn't get screwed buying expensive electronics, congrats, because it happens all the time. It's not unusual, and most of the time, early adopters know what they are getting into.
That said, if it can still play Movies and Extra's, no one really cares. The PiP is the only feature that is currently out of reach with 1.0 players, and 1.1 (otherwise known as Bonus View) is completely capable of this. There are even 1.0 players (from Samsung and Sony) that can be upgraded to 1.1.
Get over it man, you're not winning this one, just like always.

Clearly you are. You go into rants when ANYTHING is said that does not directly compliment Sony. That and you read to far into things, creating 'problems' when there was no issue to begin with.
I'm just saying it sucks that early hardware will in time become obsolete. That's really the bottom line: it sucks. End of story.
Just because it has happened in other scenarios doesn't make it any more 'okay,' does it? BTW, how did the Xbox and PS2 become obsolete? Due to the 360/PS3? If so, the circumstances are quite different...
Oh, and this made me chuckle: "you're not winning this one, just like always."
 Are you delusional?

You mean that all PS2's launched with Ethernet ports? They are all capable of HDD support? All 360's have HDMI? They're all RROD resistant? All PSP's have TV out? All DVD players support DivX? All HD DVD players support DTS-MA? Really?
They don't. This is life. Get over it.
Here's a fact for you:
Better yet, this is what I imagine you doing every time you finish a post directed at me, or 'make a discovery' about my post history:

First off, how does that change my point? How does that not make it unfortunate/crappy? Plus, some of the examples you used are not an apples to apples comparisons.
With that said, I loved your post. Not even kidding.
How did you get a video of me dancing?

Well, it's apples to apples to me. Early adopters almost always generally tend to get shafted with their hardware. My launch PS2 was a piece of garbage, as was the one I owned after that. It wasn't until my PS2 slim that I was 'good'.
My original PSP that I sold had terrible issues with the square button. I've got a newer one, and that doesn't seem to be the case now.
Even in cars, a lot of first generation models have issues that are corrected with later generations, and improved upon.
These situations arise, and trying to hold that against a format, studio, or company, is simply asinine. It doesn't make it okay, or acceptable, however, there is nothing that can be done to prevent it. It happens, and it will always be a risk of being an early adopter, as technology is constantly improving and changing, such is life.
I can promise you that the next iteration of PS3, slim or whatever it may be, will have features that my PS3 does not have. I don't mind, because it's what happens being an early adopter.
I also know that my HDTV is not the best of the best, and in a year, there will be another 1080p Samsung DLP that will outshine mine by a long mile.
But, like I said, it's life. I'm not going to pretend that I should be pissed at Samsung, Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Honda, or Apple that a 'rerelease' of whatever product I bought is better than the one I have. That's ridiculous.

Ah, you bring up a fundamentally great point.
The thing for me is that I think it sucks early adapters won't get the same features on a disc that other wills get, considering it is the same format.
I understand products must change over time, or else be left in the dust, but it would have been nice (like I said earlier), if all earlier Blu-ray models would have had the Ethernet port, etc. that would allow them to upgrade via firmware. To me that is different then reliability being improved over time (that is to be expected).
But again, not a 'huge' deal, but it is an issue, and an unfortunate one at that.

HD DVD will be done by years end, Universal and Paramount will be back to Blu-Ray before the end of 2008.
Also, since when is HD DVD hardware more 'reliable' than Blu-Ray hardware? WTF? Making shit up now, are we?

you are only sounding like a guy with no absolute wisdom.
You're the only guy who paid 250 for an hd-dvd player here just recently IIRC

Would I have bought an HD-DVD player at this point? No, probably not. But at least he does what he likes in an unbiased fashion.
