If Toshiba can include the HD DVD add on for the 360 into their 'stand alone sales' (which they did, because they only sold 600K in the US stand alone, and said one Million) then why is it that the PS3 is suddenly barred from inclusion to Blu-Ray numbers?
Honestly, if I'm making movies for a format, I could give a fuck how many stand alone players there are. 25% of 5 million is still more than 100% of 1 Million.

Well, it's simply a little bit different. With the add-on, people clearly went out of their way to buy an HD-DVD player.
Everyone who bought a PS3 also bought a Blu-ray player, even if it wasn't intentional, so to speak.
I think that's the reason why many people compared the sales of stand alone players, as the PS3 was such a large percentage of Blu-ray sales.

I'm not going to argue semantics with you, it's trivial. The difference simply lies in that fact that those with a 360 add on deliberately went out and bought the device with the intention of watching HD-DVDs (what else is is good for?) On the other side of the spectrum, whether a PS3 owner wanted a Blu-ray player or not is completely irrelevant, as there was no alternative.
It would be as if Microsoft included a built in HD-DVD player from the very beginning, and then Toshiba saying, "oh, we have sold 20 million HD-DVD players."

XBL: Extremely long download time. It took me about 5 hours to download one movie. A little ridiculous IMO, but the visual quality wasn't bad, though the audio was a little flat compared to disc based media (even DVD).
iTunes HD: What a joke. The video was barely passable IMO as 720p, and the audio was STEREO. Not even pro-logic II, just plain old STEREO. Wow.
Compared to what I get with on demand (DD5.1 for anything if it's available for that show / movie and better HD quality) it was pretty poor.

First, your XBL download shouldn't have taken even half that long. Your connection must suck.

Yes, it could be the servers, but my guess is it is your connection. We have downloaded movies a few times and it never takes nearly that long.
