i'd like one but i'm more than happy with tmobile. anyone know when the "other" cellular providers are going to get the iPhone?
Same here. The problem is I have been with T-Mobile for a little over 3 years now, and switching to another service provider with an equivalent plan would be much more $$...
Unfortunately AT&T(Cingular) has an exclusivity deal running with Apply right now, which equates to no other service providers getting the phone until at least 2012.
If you really do want an iPhone, there are ways to unlock them and use your T-Mobile sim card:
I have worked for sprint, cingular, verizon,us cellular, nextel, virgin mobile
bottom link verizon.cingular is the best
as far as phones...sony ericsson makes the best phones honestly...I order mine unbranded through ebay.
stay away from the iphone, and motorala....they are crap...samsungs kinda going down hill
if your set on the iphone by an unlocked one online

The reason AT&T is the only company that carries the Iphone is because its the only company that can support its features. Every other company in the us has data coverage maps that are seperate from their voice coverage maps, where as AT&T can do both from the same tower. Hence the title "All Over Network." Since the Iphone has an always on data package, you would need to get it everywhere you can get service, which only AT&T offers so far. Dont get me wrong, Im a huge hater of the Iphone, but I left Sprint to work for AT&T shortly before the launch because I knew how important it would be to the cell phone business.
