I know this an old post but which high heat paint did you use. I recently painted my valve cover with the ford blue and i like the blue you ended up with on your calipers better. I think i need to redo my calipers and my valve cover now.

Just a note to everyone on this. Longevity wise Im not sure how well they held out. They got quite a bit darker. I know there are better paints out there for this. But if color is a must and you want something like this , it should last at least 1 year before getting bad im sure.
I just want to point out that , there are specific paints meant for calipers. Look for caliper paint. You might not get pretty colors but it should last longer.

Wow
It would look a lot better if you just took the caliper off and painted it. It looks so stupid with the over spray on your hose and your blue slides that dont look greased. If you do something do it right. But if you dont care about that stuff it dosent look too bad!

Yeah Ive heard it about the overspray , this was a quick job. Also the overspray is nothing to boast your a badass and too smart to not do, its just that a simple quick job, when the wheel is on its impossible to see. This is for those that dont feel like changing the fluid and removing all calipers and such.
It was done right for what it is, it was a fast method of getting it done that anyone can do. Nothing wrong with that , to you right means extremely long and tedious. To me I wanted something that took less than an hour to do.
Also by the way the paint on the rubber can be removed by just picking at it with your finger nail. Its nothing big at all and I wrote this up a long time ago after I got my rims to just help make them look better. Ive seen wayyyy worse.
For the average joe who doesnt want to remove everything or just plain doesnt have the mechanical know how or tools or even time to just paint a caliper. But everyone is so much smarter arent they. Yeah your an ass. Its ok.

I did my calipers in red with caliper paint and they turned out great and very clean, but I completely removed my calipers and used a die grinder to remove all debris from the surface, the only downside is that it doesnt look andonised at all, still cool though, sorry no pics yet I lost my camera charger.

Yeah I found a new paint. VHT Caliper spray paint. I feel spray paint gives a better finish then paint on with a brush kind. Some say they wont leave strokes. Im not sure about that.
Anyhow the paint itself is good up to 900F , where as the products shown were like 500F. Anodized look does look cool and does pop nicely , gives nice depth. But its just not as nice over time. Ill be redoing mine as I replace my brakes and of course will do it with the calipers off and will be cleaning off any overpsray from the last job which is really going to be easy since its not holding onto the dusty environment I didnt touch anyhow. So its not a biggie to get overspray , but using a camera during my tech article write up. I was in a hurry to get it done quick and easy.
Otherwise another towell wrapped around towards the back and like some tape on the rubber parts it would have come out perfect with no need to remove the calipers.
