Honda prices Civic MUGEN Si Sedan from $29,500
Short and sweet: If you want one of the 1,000 2008 Honda Civic MUGEN Si sedans coming to dealer showrooms, you will have to pony up $29,500 plus taxes and destination charges. That amount gets you a Civic Si that's been given the once-over by MUGEN, which supplies a track-tuned suspension, aerodynamics package, lightweight wheels, and a sport exhaust. A number of bespoke touches dress up the interior as well. You can read our original posts and the press release after the jump for full info on the car. As for the price, whether or not it's "worth" it depends on your level of interest, naturally. Something tells us that the first official MUGEN vehicle for the US market will have no problem attracting 1,000 people willing to part with 30 grand.

a civic in sti/evo territory is a tough pill to swallow...heck, if you are really stuck on FWD, you could get a mazdaspeed3 for less

Civic Sedan SI base price is starting around 21k and can go up to about 23k. You guys all seen mugen parts and how much they go for. They arnt cheap I can tell you that much but 29k sounds about right. I bet if you were to buy all these mugen parts seperate and getting all the paint and body worked prepared you would spend a lot more then they are giving it to you for. I dont see how Honda is disappointing buy pricing it this much. Just look at it from all perspectives. Just my two cents.

Mugen parts or not...at the end of the day its still basically a dressed up si that costs 8k more. If the mugen add-ons brought more substantial power or adjustability I would be able to justify the increase...but nonadjustable suspension bits and their exhaust leave me wishing they did more. Playing in that price range is asking for stiff competition (1 series begins not too far away )

So your saying mugen parts are just for dressing up? BS..Mugen does lots of R&D with their parts, thats pretty much what you are paying for. So your saying Mugen's suspension is no good because its not ajustable?..HMM I dont think you'd be happy with a suspension on a Porsche because its not ajustable. Mugen parts are known for quality and its what you are paying for. Pretty much if you dont like it, dont buy it..But in my opinion this is one of the coolest things Honda has ever brought to the states..Isnt it true we all wish for TypeR's to come but they brough used a MUGEN'd out civic..Thats awesome to me. But anyways Im sure they wont have any problems selling.
On the other hand I actully got to see one on the freeway the other day and let me tell you something they look soo nice..The whole kit is clean and especially the rear bumper with diffuser looks awesome.

Our local dealer just got one in. I received a personal invite from one of the sales managers there, so if it's still there when I get back from Florida, I'll get some pics and post. I highly doubt it's something that'd end up in my garage, but you know, never say never.
Oh note to myself...don't have garage yet. Need to build that.

Why is eveyone still
I mean.....come on....the wheels alone are like 3200...dealer cost....and the suspension setup including installation would be at least 2500 and the exhaust....come on how many of yall have forked over 300 for a fart cannon from auto zone....when you add up everything piece by piece and including the extreme limited availability and the fact that it is all warrantied by Honda and has the Mugen Name behind it.....this freaking think is a bargain....so what if it doesnt add any power....civic has great power....and the reliability speaks for itself...and lest not even get into residual value....but to each thier own....so lets leave the dead hose be and go argue about something else....well cuz isnt that what these forums are really about....saying who has a bigger penis and how long can we argue a single subject....[end rant}
