I drive a 1998 Honda CR-V B20B4, today I reset the ECU but accidentally skipped turning it off after warming it up before driving it again. I noticed my Service Engine indicator was red. I didn't check right before resetting the ECU, but the indicator was yellow last I saw. Does resetting the ECU have anything to do with this? And is it crucial to shut the car off after reaching normal temperature before driving again? Should I redo it properly? Thanks.
