Bout 1yr ago, I did this to my Civic VX, D15Z1. When i took off my TB to clean it, i noticed the coolant line. Said "F" that, & jus put a rubber hose.

lets just say youv been racing for an hour .. dont you think the coolant would also aid to lower the throttle body temperature at that point?

I did this mod last week. And im driving down the road, and i try to see if i could feel any difference. Didnt feel anything. Then that night im getting something to eat and my car starts rapidly overheating. IM like ok il stop and let it cool down for a while and then see if my coolent is low. Check it an hour later. Coolent fine. Start drive home does the same thing. Next day my cars leaking water. Didnt know where it was coming from and eventually was told that it was coming from my head and i needed a new headgasket. (Not saying it was from the coolent bypass, but it very strange that it happened the same day when my car had no problems, full coolent and no leaks with like 50k on the motor) My 0.02

no, considering the coolant has to 180 degrees for the thermo to open. unless of course the the air entering is more than 180 which i doubt.

It was alittle cooler this morning and all the way to work when I would stop @ lights my idle was surging, shit I was even at a light and was watching it giving it alittle gas and started rolling when light was going to go green and some cop pulled me over said I ran the light when it was red and gave me a no stop @ red light ticket. If my idle wasnt doing that dammit and I will double check all my vaccum lines and will start it up and let it ilde now that the suns up and its warm, but if it does it again when its cold then I will hook it all back up. I've had this for a month or two but only a week on my new bored f22 tb.

I'm planning on selling my turbo and doing ITBs, are there even coolant lines on the ITBs for a GSX-r? I don't think so! That should tell you something. Motorcycles don't have a/c, power steering, coolant lines, they have ITBs, they're cheap, they're fast... Why aren't more cars made like motorcycles? So add me to the list, once I put in my ITBs, but in a different way. :clap

are there any other write ups on this mod? Curious to see how someone else explains how to do it. a lot of unsure things about this and some questions went unanswered in the thread that might be important to know as well as part of the problems some were having with idle/overheating, etc.
And is this emissions legal?
