2000 Accord Drivers Seat Latch

Hello
Maybe someone can help on this. The drivers seat on my Accord has been rocking back and forth (annoying but I tolerate it) Today, I pulled up on the seat latch and it felt very loose. The seat went forward and when I pused itback it locked into place. The problem is that I cannot unlatch it to tilt it forward.
Car has the origianl leather seats with the typical tear near the bottom left side
I think if I can get into the back of the seat I could problably fix it. The problem is how do I get the panel on the back of the seat off.

Can anyone help me out here.

Thanks in advance.

Tim

there should be two cables connected to the lever. take the seat out (4x14mm bolts), unplug the seatbelt light harness connector, and take off hogrings to expose the cables. make sure they are tight and properly connected. you need hogrings and pliers to reattach the upholstery.
