diy clean inside of motor

one thing i have learned since being a technician is how easy it is to do an internal engine clean. if you buy the stuff from the store, all it is, is diesel. all you need is about a pint of diesel and put that in your oil and drive for 20 miles then change your oil. the diesel will break up all the deposits in your motor. then your oil will stay much cleaner for much longer and prevent unnessacary wear on your motor. after about 2-3 oil changes doing that. you will notice your oil to be much cleaner after teh 3k miles

I wouldn't do this on a motor that has high miles or is really nasty under the valve cover..reason being is that you can get that crap broke free and clog up oil passages, etc.

But if your motor looks pretty clean but could be a little cleaner..but isn't sludging I say go for it..I have also heard of putting a quart of ATF in your oil and letting it warm up and then change it...don't know though.

your not putting it in your gas tank. you are putting it in your crankcase.

Personally i would just go buy an oil addative and add that. That way you can blame then later, not yourself

sea foam in your crankcase? maybe cleaning under the hood, but not inside of your oil. If you do regular maintance and regular oil changes, the inside of your valve cover shouldnt be sludging. So therefore, its ok to use, ive heard of someone doing this before

sea foam goes right into your crank-case[pour into the oil-cap]
and rev like a biznatch. and some goes into your gas-tank as well.
it cleans out carb and cleans the fuel line. and necessary to do an oil change after you go thru this procedure.
thanks for the info Bum Fight Krew (jking)
i'll try that next time since my friend now works at Grease Monkey and can hook me up with free oil change with Pure Synthatik Mobil 1 Oils with quality filter.

i sure as hell would hope you got an oil change after doing that. I seriously didnt think it was safe to stick seafoam in your crankcase. No matter how hard you rev, there will always be a tad bit of seafoam still stuck in there, just like when you do an oil change there is always a tad bit of old oil still in there, no way to avoid it. but to each their own. but seriously, if you have sluggish type crap in your crankcase and doing regular maintance, then you need to get that checked out, cuz usually thats caused by overdue oil changes, I found that out the hard way.

putting diesel or engine flush in your motor seems like a good idea at first but it has it's evil side. Diesel eats rubber. If you dont believe me try putting a bouncy ball in a bucket of it and leaving it overnight. If you use this trick use it sparingly or your going to be replacing seals.

If you really want to clean the motor spend the time and take it apart.

well. how long will 20 miles will take you to drive?
i'd say max 20 mins..just get on the high way real quick.

and as sea-foam goes..
me doing it tomorrow, just gona pur it in my gas tank. about half of it.
just want the fuel line cleaned up, then oil change next week.
at grease monkey, they have the oil flush stuff, i will be doing lot of oil stuff next week.

engine oil flush and change, yeah, flush.
tranny flush and change.
maybe powersteering flush and change.

and then simple green is gona rape my engine bay soon

black&whitecrx has a little shameless behaviour in the past
My brother runs the seafoam directly through one of his vacuum lines and his truck would smoke a super thick white cloud of smoke for anywhere of 5min.-20min. After this his truck will run like a whole new truck.

I am pretty sure that on the bottle of seafoam it suggest putting some into the crankcase. so before you say dont do it. do you homework.
