Nice writeup man. I just did mine with candy apple red metal flake and used the same method. Mine isnt a hi-temp paint, and its holding up just fine so far.
Yours looks real good- OEM even.

Hey quick question, since you've already covered the paint process, would you happen to know if they sell the paint in the Accord Type R color (Blue) I'd like to see if I can use your method to paint it blue but can't find the selection from Krylon, and VHT only sells Red, Black or gray. Also maybe you know if the valve cover fit's it the F20B that is, i'm not really sure since it's not from the same family and all. Any imput will be apreciated.
Thanks

I haven't seen it in blue. And I don't really understand what you're asking about the F20B valve cover fitting.
Although if you use the wrinkle paint first and let it dry, I wonder if you can spray a couple coats of any color over it and retain the wrinkle texture. I would use gray for this, kind of like a primer. I don't know if it'll work but I may experiment on a scrap piece of metal and let you know.

Thanks, I'm refering to the Accord SiR Type R as seen here
http://www.jazzproparts.com/PhotoGal...oductCode=F20B
or here
http://asia.vtec.net/article/CF4/engine1.jpg
I want to know if it's possible to fit that Valve Cover to a B series engine, or is that strictly a no no?
If not I'll see if I can find a blue color that resembles that and maybe see if I can paint the valve color to match it with wrinckle paint. Also since you have way more experience than I do with painting valve cover I'd like to see how it comes out if you give it a try. Thanks for all of your support. :clap

thanks dude, yeah it only cost me like $10-$12 bucks. the paint was like 8 online and then i had to buy the paint stripper. i had the sand paper and paint thinner already. plus there's enough paint in the can for like 2 or 3 valve covers so you can do your friend's for some money or free hah.
