I did my LS valve cover not too long ago. I didn't put it in the oven though. Didn't know I could do that. It still holding up. Props for nice DIY!!

yeah the thinner is just to get off the old paint, then you wash all that off and dry it before you start sanding

yeah paint thinner/stripper whatever will get the old paint off

under $20. main thing is paint. if you have sandpaper and paint stripper then all you need is the paint

nice, i scratched my valve cover with the engine lift when i was putting it in last week.
i'll have to redo it sometime.
