diy tail light tint

here is the rear lights on my 96 jdm itr which i tinted. i just cleaned the lense with dish wash liquid and water then let them dry. i gave it a light coat of black tail lamp tint then gave it another coat about 3 minutes after. i left them to dry, only took about 1 hr.

you can get that at almost any hobby store, its called r/c tint spray.

looks good..

just a side note though, its best to split the lights apart and apply the tint spray to the inside of the lens rather the outside so that it would not scrape or scratch off with time.

My compliments on the look, I'm trying to get that spray but no one carries it in my area so I'm going to have to get it off of ebay.

Summit carries the spray you are looking for. I've seen some jobs come out horribly, and others exceptionally well. As long as you do the proper prep, it should be fine. The knowledge of rattle can use is a plus also!!! LOL!!

anyone got pics?

You did it nice im just not crazy about it in general looks like it hinders the light and i didnt realize that before but (don't take this the wrong way I don't mean it in a demeaning way) but it ricey when you do the reverse lights, you loose all function of it.
