Hey everyone. My friend just lately wrecked his Lancer Evo III and when i took a look inside there were two recaro seats in mint condition. I bought them from him for a good price and now I want to install them in my 1995 eg civic coupe. The bolt patterns dont line up with those from the civic's n im not about to let these beautiful seats go to waste. Can somebody give some:number advice on this?
The actual bracket on the evo III seats are different. I also tried to change the with the ones on my old civic seats n i noticed that the evo III seats are a bit wider spaced in terms of the sliders. Looks like im gonna have to do some tack welding to make it work.

did this kinda
hey not 100% sure if this is the same but I put some jdm rx-7 seats into my eg hatch. I had to strip the sliders of any brackets that actually hold the seat unto the slider. once all this is removed the slider is just one big flat piece. The rx-7 seats are significantly narrower so I welded 1/8 steel plate on the inside of the seats plus the are longer thus I had to extend the slider also not actually to hard as lond as you have the right tools ei, cut off wheel, air chisel, grinders of all size, plus a bfh, I spent about two hours cutting and welding. The end result is pretty sweet, specially when nobody can figure out what car they came outta. good luck ps the best tip is to measure, measure, measure!!!!! measure when the sliders are uninstalled from seats, make sure before you tighen the sliders to push them back towards the rear and then tighten them. that way you have a consistant measuing point and wont be off when your going to put the seats in. make a drawing of the sliders. draw it out, I am a great in mathmatics and I made simpe errors that would of rresulted in alot more cutting. sorry for the grammatical errors writing this 30 min before I have to work have fun

sorry more info
so the brackets are attached to the sliders with either some rivets or spot welds or both its been awhile. did some research for ya and the evo seats attach to the sides of the seats not sure on if their the same width or length but i'm sure you'll be able to figure that out when you measure them. honestly not hard to customize the factory slider have fun
