Finally came around and did it! I went and got metal enamel gloss black and clearcoat. I cleaned the wheels from brake dust etc. Laid 1 heavy coat of black on then 2 light coats and 2 light coats of clear on the wheels. Came out very well for my first time. Im very impressed for the 12$ i spent and maybe 4 hours(let me dry good before puttin them on). I would like to go back, sand, primer and do again for omptimum smoothness but i may just get another set and try again and go bronze! Who knows...any who, heres pics, half them dont do the justice and sorry bout my over-spraying, dint care too much bout sprayin the tires!
Always have a buddy to help!
This shows how glossy they really came out!! :clap
Yeah, i was copying that integra posted lil while back. A chrome polished lip really doesnt seem that difficult after doing this trial run. This was fairly easy and reccomend it to anyone whos bored and cheap. Also, for anyone that will ask later, i did not use the wheel paint. Just everyday painters touch gloss black and clear. They were on sale at Drug Mart

no i just painted them to paint them. Not to see if black looks good. You guys are thinking too much about why instead that i did.
they lok pretty nice to me, im getting new wheels and tires though, and im too lazy to pull mine off and paint them, but the outcome of working on them seems to be worth it, great job, post more pics!!
edit: yeah i guess people are reading too much into it (me) they look great and are cost effecitve
yea im also gettin new wheels soon. Im lookin at the red of bronze fliks...But i love variety, cant stand lookin at the same thing too long. So the steelies + fliks + bronze steelies(next project) will keep my happy! :clap
