not too sure bout this

i was gonna paint my dash but i saw alot of ones that were painted chip flake or rub off so i started to think what else to do my dad told me to make a new dash from fiberglass but that would take forever with the mold then pop out a dash but it would hold paint forever so i got a new idea 1st take out your dash then 2 use the above mentioned soap to remove the oils and shine 3 use some of the 3m super strong spray glue 4 stretch vinyl materal over the dash pull tight use a bondo squeegy to get out wrinkles 5 pull about 2in of vinyl around corners and edges and tack in place 6 use a heat gun to dry glue + form better & reinstall dash

dont know if it would work but if it did it would be better than paint and easer than fiberglass
tell me if you try it

I did my interior for the second time this summer. The first time I did it I put the coats on too thick. If you put it on too thickm, the paint will dry, but it will always have a sticky feel to it.

Painting the interior is not hard at all, but BE PATIENT. Its not easy to have to do it all again.

Also, don't think that you have to cover it in two coats. You'd much rather do 10 light (very light) coats that dry well then the other way around. And remember its takes a while to tape and prep everything. If you do all the work to prep the space, you have it that way until you decide to take it off... so use it. Don't try to rush the job. Preping again sucks.

one thing to keep in mind when painting the interior. A lot of people like to paint the dash white or some other bright color. Light colors will reflect sunlight and trying to drive with a white dash is near blinding.

well, if you plan to paint it yellow or red, first you take some low-gloss paint and mix it 3 parts to every one part soy sauce to match it work well with the rest of the rice that must be everywhere else on the car

jokin, I've actually thought of redoing my stuff, my buddy used the dye to do every panel is his old vette and it looked GREAT....cept it seems like our dashes are rubber/plastic and I dunno how it would dye
