Mods: All stock, for now. Hooked up the stereo though.
Its stupid easy, as long as your system is already using R-134a. Its a little more complicated if you still are using R-12, but even then its not that tough.
If youre using R-134a already, you need to buy a can of refridgerant (one with leak stop if your car is a few years old), and the hose/guage attachment. A lot of them come with the hose and guage. You want to hook the can up with the hose to the LOW SIDE of the AC. The cap on the low side should be marked with an L, and will be the most easily accessible. Dont put it on the high side... bad things happen. You want to tighten the nossel down all the way onto the can to puncture the top of it, and then turn it out to release the refridgerant, shaking the can every 10-15 seconds or so. The guage shows you where to fill it up to, its color coded.
Its really not that hard. Aside from putting the refridgerant into the high side, theres really not much you can do to fuck it up.

If the cars are that new, theyll already be running R-134a, so that will make it easier. Its about 15-20 bucks for a can, maybe a touch more if you buy the hose with it. Go down to your local auto parts store- (napa, pep boys, whoever), they all have the stuff you need.

Should only take 1, unless its completely empty- in which case you have a leak. If one can doesnt make a difference, dont go ahead and put 4 more in. 1 can will make a noticeable difference unless its leaking.
