VTEC light, which ECU wire?

Hey,

Well, this is my first post here. Read up the VTEC light article and decided to do my own.

So basically, what I did was, used the search feature and went through EVERY VTEC light thread and i'm still such an a$$ I didn't get it. So I took a picture of my ECU's wires and I want to know which wire to connect the positive wire to? And I just splice it a little and knot it there to the vtec wire, right? And do I really need a resistor on the negative terminal? I have a green LED that is pretty small and it's normal, not very bright.

My car's a 90 Civic with a JDM D15B VTEC.

Looking at this; Universal Digital Tuning Products and Tuning Tools from Innovate Motorsports

I think the vtec wire for me would be the 2nd one from right. Am I correct?

Here's the picture;

Thanks guys!

When I made mine I just tapped off the VTEC solenoid wire in the engine bay. I grounded to something behind the gauge cluster. I'm not sure which wire to run off of the ecu. My wire under the hood was green with a yellowish/green stripe.... maybe you can check under your hood to see what is off your solenoid and see if that color combo is off the ecu as well. It should be.

lol thanks dude I did this 2 months ago. The wire position is A4 on the ECU. For me it was an Orange/white wire. I grounded it to the screw that holds the glove box. Thanks though!

yeah from the soleniod its green/yellow
that should be universal for hondas
for future reference yes both the wires from the ecu and soleniod will work but the soleniod has much easier acess.
