1996 - 2000 Honda Civic near Chicago, IL
So it is time to get my first, car, i am really tired of driving my dad's explorer (yes, i have to pay for gas) even though i enjoy driving my mom's G6, but... yeah....
I will soon be moving to Chicago, IL, near Napperville actually.
I am looking for a 1996 - 200 Honda Civic, i like the EX, but any Civic with a tacometer will do, yeah, no hatchback, i am not really into that one, and yes, it needs to be the Coupe. It also needs to be 5 speed manual, and either black, silver, or white. In that order of preference.

Try Craigslist. On tuner forums, you don't often see people selling the fruits of years of labor. If you post an ad or some pictures, we'll be happy to help point you in the right direction and steer you clear of danger (Danger, Will Robinson!) for your purchase. Think of us like a big encyclopaedia of theory.

Okay thanks. Here, i found one.
btw, i am moving to Chicago July 10th - July 15th. I know, yall care a lot.
XD
Okay, check this link. Cars For Sale: Car Details - AutoTrader.com
Seems expensive, but I guess I say that about all non-cali cars. I wouldn't pay $5k for a stock Civic.

oh
=/
Well, it seems to be clean, and it has the tail lights i like (red on top, white on bottom)
I will keep looking.
Another thing, i REALLY want a stick shift, not only because they seem more fun, but they also get like 2 better MPG than an automatic, and i also got other reasons; however, my parents dont want me to get a stick shift, they think that i would hate it and get tired of ir. Remember, i am moving to Chicago.
But the city i am from, google Monterrey Mexico, the traffic, i can bet, is WORSE than in Chicago, and about 60% of people drive stick shifts, so i say, "if they can, why couldnt i?"
opinion?

Chicago's traffic is pretty horrendous. I haven't been to Monterrey, and don't know what the drivers are like there, but I would never willingly buy an automatic car. You have no reason not to buy a stick. It gives you more control over the machine you're responsible for.
I'd think you'd be able to find a nice EK coupe for around $2500 (I don't think I'd pay more than $2k here in Cali), but if that one does it for you, go for it. Keep a close eye on craigslist.org

Yeah, that is what i have been telling my parents. I really want a manual transition car!
In a nutshell... Monterrey traffic = hell. lol
But i am going to live in the outskirts, so it will not be as bad.
I am going to look on craiglist and see what i can find.
