I am getting tired of being harassed by NY cops so I am seriously considering selling this car and getting something more 'unnoticeable'. What I am curious about is what people are realistically willing to pay for this car. I don't want to part it and I know you never get back what you put into a car. Just throw me some numbers on what you think you would pay for this. Thanks.

Selling a car that is as heavily (and nicely, I might add) modded as yours is asking for a ripoff. Plain and simple, it's more difficult to get fair market value. I bought my lude modded (2000 sh, I/E, VAFC, GC/Tokico, and only 21K on the odo, 17in wheels, viper, alpine hu) from a dealer for 14K. The guy who traded it in only got 11 grand for it. Eleven grand for a honda that might as well be brand new! The kbb value on the car from a private dealer was somewhere near 18k.
With modded cars that are not classics, you've either got to really find the right buyer who values the time/money/parts invested in the car, or just keep it garaged until it's worth money. Just my .02
Thanks for the compliment. I don't want to have 2 cars as I only drive on the weekends. I also don't want to have to worry about cops when I go out. I already got a speeding ticket and loud exhaust ticket. I've been driving since I was 17 and this is my first speeding ticket. I think it has mostly to do with how the car looks. It just attracts too much un-needed attention.
I know I'll take a hit on this car but I was wondering how big of a hit I would take. Wonderig if it's going to be completely unworth it to sell it. I just need enough for a next car.

Again, nice fawking teggie.
I agree, unless you can find someone that truly values your ride you really won't get as much as you was shooting for, You're right about "I know I'll never get back as much as I put into it" but I dunno if you guys have autotrader up there, if so put the car in autotrader and most likely it should sell, People down here buy $17,000 Si, GSR, hatchbacks w/swaps all the damn time (don't even ask, maybe they just value it more)from autotrader. Sorry if this couldn't be much of help. Nice teg though

I recently was cited for 'excessive noise'. I went around the cop at literally 5mph and he pulled me over for my exhaust. So I sent in the ticket stating he had no equipment to measure the noise level (my car is fairly quiet due to the turbo, cat, and resonator). I have to show up to court anyway. It's not that I mind paying for the ticket but it's losing a day for work to go to court that bothers me. Probably will have to go back and proved that the muffler was fixed. Would you believe you have to show up in person if you want to plead guilty?
man, thats a fat car, i wouldn't sell it. tickets, theft, vandalism, and all that crap are setbacks, but dont get discouraged. i got ticketed, and my car got broken into with about $3000 worth of stereo and equipment were stolen, all in the same day, and it got me really discouraged, but my car is my pride and joy, no matter how discouraged i get, its mine and im keepn it.
I know here in Mich if u plead guilty to something as petty as an exhaust ticket you don't have to show up in court, don't know how that goes in NY, but that's how we do it. extremely tite teg, but with the mods and shit you still gonna take a beating on what u've got into it
