Hey well i been saving money to get my ecu chipped and get it tuned with crome. Well have a p13 on my accord which has an h22a turbo setup and well when i took it to the shop that was gonna do the work for me they said that they cannot chip the p13 they told me that a p28 or p72 would be the best ecu's i can go with because those are already set with the Vtec and if i got something else they would have to charge extra to add the Vtec. So my question is.... Does anybody know if this is the best way to go? And if it is the best way to go would $200 be too much to pay for either?
$200 for just the ECU, or $200 for the ECU and its chipping/socketing?
Check out phearable.net for packages of the ECU, chip/socketed, basemap tune to get you from the shop to the dyno, and a few extra settings if you wish.
No I mean just the ECU and thanks for the link and I'm sure gonna check that out!
Thanks for any future link and advices.
Yea, my phearable package included my P28 ECU Chipped/Socketed, had a basemap tune put on it, and got the OBDII to OBDI conversion harness all for $255.
Lots of options on their site.
That or just find yourself a used ECU anywhere for cheap, and have your tuner just take it and work with it.
well yeah I was just planning to just buy a used ECU and have the shop just work on it! But hey thanks for the comment and the advice I really appreciate it. Thanks!
