alright, if i'm reading hondata's website right, i'm gonna have to do an auto to manual tranny swap, and get an OBDI ECU. Am i right or did i read it wrong? If I'm right, is there any quality unit i can buy for a reasonable price that would allow for the use of an auto tranny?(and if not, how hard and expensive would a tranny conversion be?)
I have a 1996 Honda Accord LX w/ an automatic tranny.
Mods: All stock, for now. Hooked up the stereo though.
Yes, Hondata is for manual transmissions only. You would need to swap the car to manual to use it. Swapping to manual is a difficult thing to do, and would run you about $1000-2000 on parts, depending on what parts you use. If you arent going to do the work yourself, add another $1000-1500 for labor.

Its easier to just buy another car.
Tranny swap took me 2 hours on my civic. Hardest part was trying to change the pedals out.
