learning to tune?

is there anything out there that i can mess with that i can start to learn to use without blowing up mine or somebody elses motor?
i want to kinda start getting into tuning because here in north texas there really isnt anybody that does tuning.
excuse me if i sound like a noob, but if anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated.

There's a writeup i did when i first became a member of this site awhile back probably 2+ years ago.. and i based it off of jeff from ib's tuning walk threw..

Go here forum.pgmfi.org and register.
Read and read and read and read and read and read when have questions search and search and only when your finger is too tired of pressing the search button ask a question.
Start out with a free version of crome and just play around and learn the features. To datalog use freelog. Make sure to read more than you can on write-up and tuning procedures.
