DIY: plastic headlight refurbishment

this is instruction on polishing the plastic headlights.

this is the before pics:

first thing i did was put mothers mag and aluminum polish on the headlight. i used a buffer attachment that fits on to a drill (don't forget to tape off the paint):

i buffed the headlight for a few minutes, then used the plastic polish(pictured below) and buffed this time by hand, as that is all that is needed after the metal polish.

I've used gas before. It cleaned alright, but I'll def try this when I take pics of the car.

got anything that will do glass? mine are glass on my 4th gen and starting to look dingy, especially since I switched out from euro clear corners to the ultra clear ones after one of my euro clears got busted.

these people make a glass polish in fine and heavy cuts. later.

cool, has anyone used it here though? Want to get something i know works, ya know. or any home remedies that work good? I've got out some stage 2 rubbing compound used for buffing cars out with my buffer and it polished em up some, finished with a stage 3 and it looked ok, but nowhere what they looked like factory or what new headlights do.
