Great swap, good little engine, and a blast to drive with. I have one in my 98 and love it

What engine do you have right now?

The d15b is an awesome motor, but if you have a d16z6 it might be worth it to just repair it. The d15b puts out a few more ponies than the z6, but the z6 has more displacement giving it more potential...and a slightly longer stroke giving it a more linear powerband.

A headgasket shouldn't be too hard as long as you have a decent manual, and the thermostat takes like 10 min or less.

Yeah if you have an Si hatch just put the new headgasket in and go. You already have just as good of an engine with more modding potential. And save a few hundred bucks. But if you do have a 1.5 non-VTEC then anything would be better.
