hello all i was just wondering if it was possible to replace my automatic transmission with a manual? one of my buddies said that it was possible to and that it would cost around 2 grand

search is your friend.

CL-S 6 speed, Old Legend 5 speed, AV6 6 speed. Doubt you'll be able to get all of the parts for under $2k, and sure in the hell won't be able to do with with labor for that price.

seeing as the J swap is gaining a bit of momentum, the somewhat rare manuals are getting much more expensive. I advise finding one that already has a manual equipped, much eaiesr and cheaper in the longe run.


If you do go through with it, you would need all the linkage, clutch cables, clutch master and slave cylinders, ECU, new mounts for the tranny, and anything in the interior that goes around teh shifter.

Its quite a bit of effort
