There's sites all over the internet saying "Supra's coming back" I'm sure we've all heard it before, whether it was on SHO or just talking with buds. Toyota hasn't mentioned anything about a new Supra coming back into the works and there's only speculation and rumors going on about it. However, many websites tend to update and say things that the Supra will end up coming back with a different name and better technology. Who knows? So I emailed the moderator or www.supercars.net and asked him about the new Supra and if he's got any info and he sent me a link to conceptcarz.com. So i check it out and they have a bunch of sketches (as displayed). I've been looking on the net about it and read articles in mag's about the new Supra concept and how the public wants one, but nothing has been said officially. Regardless, here's the pics of the New Supra, codenamed MKV.

Regardless, with Nissan's new Z coming out, you never know how Toyota may react. They may just wave it off and do nothing about it, regardless if the new Z is a big hit, or they may put forth a concept and see how the public acknowledges it. Only the future will tell, but keep one thing in mind: History repeats itself.

your comparing apples and oranges between the two. As for the Z being slow, for the price of the car and the the features you get including Standard features plus: Front and rear spoiler, 18-inch tires and lightweight aluminum wheels, vented Brembo brakes, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), tire air pressure monitor, Xenon headlamps, HomeLink Universal Transceiver, cruise control, Traction Control System (TCS), viscous limited-slip differential, aluminum pedals, day/night auto rearview mirror, dual illuminated visor vanity mirrors and optional DVD-based Navigation System
Side air bag and curtain airbag for less then 2G's it's pretty fucken good. Not to mention a 300hp engine that sprints to 60 in 5.9 (according to Nissan), plus more improvement for future projects, (s/c, turbo, chip, etc) I'd say this is a killer deal!

I say that the new Z is slow...because compared to the past Z...it is. Sports Compact Car tested a Z not too long ago, and the number that they were getting weren't even close to the numbers of the past Z TT. Some nissan engineers also said that they were lookin to pump up the power rating about 30 hp or so. Thats why i say its slow

I highly doubt that they will....espially since the next GTR is allegedly going to be on the same platform.

Umm...sure the Z is a "fast car". But lets think about it...if you're going to buy a super car wouldn't you want it to be as fast, handle, break, and just be as good as its competition? It makes sense. The WRX, and the s2000, those are two totally different categories there.

I think he means that compared to the old one the New one is slow.

Most cars should be faster than their old models.

I want the yellow or the black concept car. I dont like the green one. The headlights look ugly.
