390 supercharged ponies for the next cobra. that's 5 more than the cobra r. and it'll probably have a/c and costs $15K-$20K less than the R. hmmm. somethin ain't right.

where were you on that one rumorsHG?

go pick up i think it was car and driver. it may be motor trend or automobile but it's in one of the current issues.

Me likes it. 12 sec 1/4 miles, .90+g's on the skidpad, 35 thousand dollars. Smaller blower pulley, Maf, custom chip, 500+ horses for a couple hundred bucks. Sign me up.

yeah, ford's really uppin the ante with this new cobra and putting the gt40 into production. when the hell did ford finally grow balls? still waiting for honda to grow some themselves.

Yeah it's frustrating. In the end, when the wait is over, it all pays off. Us ford guys have been waiting for a very very long time. There hasn't been a "regular" production stang this good since the good old days of classic muscle. Finally something that deserves the cobra and mustang badge. We've been seeing f-bod taillights for like ever.

Honda will have there day too. With everybody putting out performance cars (turbo neon, evo, wrx, 300z, rx8, svt focus, etc...) honda will have to do something to hold on to it's market share and loyal followers. But it just might be too late then. They need to snap out of their econo mode and think performance.

we may not have to wait too long. the 04 nsx is said to be coming with a 4.0L ~450hp V8. and a RWD sports coupe idea based on an extended S2000 platform has been thrown around as well. i'm sure honda has something up their sleeves. i just wish they weren't always so damn secretive about what they're doing. with the latest bland civic and the kill-off of their only sports coupe, the prelude, they can't sit the sidelines while nissan, mazda, and toyota are coming out with all these upcoming cars like the 350z, rx8, and even a new supra is supposed to be released.

i hope the next NSX is nice. And i hope that we get to see some of the faster NSX models in the states. We get the shaft over here ! (S, S-Zero n' the Type R)
