what happens is the wheels are to wide. my 18x7 rims on the accord do the same thing over bumps even without people in the backseat, but the 100+ lbs of stereo equipment dont help. a friend at work suggested bump stops, which are bushings that only let the suspension settle so far down, not effecting the performance until they have weight on them. an 18x8 rim will most definitely have the same issue.

as far as value, it shouldnt make a difference at all.
