a turbo, with nos
are nos allowed in races?
A 10sec street-legal car is possible, but good luck tryin to drive that thing daily.
i dunno about the integra forum, but in the civic forum we have got this same question from noobs several times lately. must be a case of the F and the F goin around. but anyways, 10 sec is possible with some deep pockets, and alot of knowlegde.
if u want 10's it'd have to be a "trailer" queen.

Yea, this is getting kind of old. I dont think people reaalize how fast a 10 sec car is. It would be scary as hell to drive one around daily.

Are you kidding me, anything is allowed in races. Those fast funny cars that do like 7 seconds run on alcohol.
its possible to have a 10 sec street car in michigan becasue we have no emmisions testing...and with all the muscle cars rollin around here with more than like 500hp you'll be more glad to have one here...to get to 10's it'll take a deep pocket and a lot of knowledge like everyone else has said...try doin a search to figure out combinations for your setup to the 10 sec zone...

don't ever sacrafice it for CA beach and hot beauty girls! I'd rather have a nice fast car that doesn't have to be emmisioned tested. Besides you car never argues with you. It always does what you ask from it right!
this is getting "off-topic". what is the whole purpose of this thread again?
I would probably build it for a high amount of nitrous. You have a 10 or 11 sec car and still street legal. Of course when you are on the streets and not shooting the nitrous, then its not really a 10 or 11 second car, but it can when its on the laughing gas.
Randyman... this is definitely off topic... but DAMN.. that's a HOT car!! Must be a rocket!
sorry really new to all these concepts, so never been in a 10 sec car, but i've been in a 14 sec car, but it didn't seem to be that fast, maybe cuz he wasn't racing, oh yea i was reading all the forums to get some ideas, can i came acorss whp...wat da hell is that? well anyways thanks foe all your guys help

That means Wheel Horse Power or Horse Power to the wheels.

A fast car doesn't necessarily have to feel fast. If you drive in a V8 Camaro, you'll think its fast, but they are most of the time 14 second cars. A few may hit 13's but most do 14's at the track. An Integra can do 14's also but it may feel slower than the V8 Camaro because when you are in a car, you are judging it from your BUTT DYNO!

Belive me, I haven't been in a 10 or 11 second car either, but the way those things take off from a standing still is phenomenol! They don't just creep out off the line... it grabs traction immediately and jumps off the line.
Making the hp to run 11 even high 10's isn't all that hard as long as you have the $$$. But the suspension you would need wouldn't make it the most fun car on the street.
would it be safe to say that a lot of 11-12 second cars would be a lot quicker if they had better traction? like i know this guy who runs 13s.. he ran a 13.8.. he was real depressed that he spent all this money and has a lot of power (not sure of exact specs) but he said he should be high 12s or low 13s by now.. well anyway, we descided it must be the driving technique or something. one of my other friends ran his car at the track and ran a steady 13.4.... thats .4 seconds faster with just a better driver... and that driver still complained of traction issues. the car is a civic turbo 6 psi, b16 swap.. how much importance is traction in dragging in fwd cars? and how do you cope with too much wheelspin at launches?
Traction is just if not more important than power. You could have 500 hp and not even run a 13 if you are on stock suspension and stock tires. If you are spinning and getting on and off the gas to try and keep traction your not accelerating down the track. Tell you friend to get slicks and traction bars. Btw what was his mph?
You guys must be joking me. There is no way you can make a street integra run 10's. And one other thing, when refering about nitrous, please call it nitrous and not NOS . NOS is a company which stands for nitrous oxide systems. Geeze some people watching too much F and F

LOL, oh my god thats funny. Well to stay on topic, It's quite a challenege to run 10s or even 11s in a street legal teg. Just like everyone else said, it can be done...will take deep pockets and great wisdom. This isnt like slapping a vortech on a mustang or fbod and calling it a day, you need to do some serious thinking/planning to get the right combo. And yes, traction is what makes it all work. If anything, I would hit the suspension up first, beef everything up then drop in the 10 second powerplant. By the way, SS Camaros have dipped in the 12s stock, all the high 13/low 14 second Camaro drivers out there cant drive. [email protected] The reason why Fbods feel a whole lot quicker then tegs is simple, they are MUCH quicker then tegs. But take the Camaro as the perfect example....12 second potential, but most drivers only muster high 13s with horrible 60 ft times yet good mphs. They spend most of the time either spinning it too much or bogging it too much. And we all know, spinning aint winning...
