100-shot nos wet kit

you can check my mod list at the bottom, i was thinking of running this, possibly the plate kit. however, i want to port them on the bottom of my intake manifold, gotta keep the look a little clean. would a direct port and a plate kit be virtually the same, if yes or no, can someone please explain the pros and cons?

thanks :D

you should be fine with that setup. nitrous goes well with high duration cams (unlike turbo). since you have the skunk2 manifold you won't be able to use the plate kit because it was designed for the dual runner gsr manifold. if you want to run a 100 shot direct port is your only option. the only things i would suggest getting is a larger fuel pump( better safe than sorry) and a msd digital 6. you will need to retard your timing 4 degree with the100 shot and the digital 6 would allow you to run 18 degrees off the bottle then when you arm your system it would retard it automatically ( iwould suggest running 12 degrees timing and a 2 step colder plug while running the juice. also ngk copper plugs. hope this helps.
yes it did very much so, thanks. couple little things to add/ask as well. is a 100-shot wet kit from nos too much? - too much meaning with stock internals already with very agressive cams? would you even suggest nos or is there a better/more reliable company to go with? what am i looking for in price per say? what kinda of gains - if that is even a question you can answer?

thanks agian
So long as you tune your car up propery, ignition and fuel, your engine should be able to handle 100 shots on a regular basis without any problems. If you do not feel comfortable with 100 shots, start at 80 with a direct port. Even with 80 shots, if everything is installed and tuned correctly, you should still shit your pants the first time you try it out.
NOS is prob the best kit on the market for the price. i like the NX kits nozzles a little more (but not $250 more). stock internals should be fine with a 100 shot ( just like ZEQS posted above) as long as you upgrade the igniton and fuel. i have the NOS plate kit . i've been running a 80 shot for quite some time now with no probs. i just installed the 100 shot jets but haven't had a chance to run it due a tranny problem. tuning wise i run 2 step clder plug(ngk bkr7e) and 100 octane gas w/ the 80 shot. that wass good enough to dyno 223.5 hp and 223 lb/tq to the wheels and run a best time of 13.3 @ 102 on a set of small 22 inch slicks. shooting for mid 12's with addition of the 100 shot kamikaze header and type r cams. also with th 80shot i ran 15 degrees timing ( NOT RECOMMENDED UNLESS USING RACE GAS AND LOTS OF TUNING) and with the 100 i'll be running 12 degrees.

Dude, that's some pretty decent numbers. What else are you using on your setup?? Are you using a progressive controller?? Any piggy?? I'm asking cuz I'm still toying with my dp on 80 shot. My valves cracked a little while ago, so I'm just waiting for those to come in the mail and get my head back on. But after that comes back on, I wanna tune it. So I was wondering what you used in terms of tuning wise for fuel??
tuning for the track goes as follows. timing set a 15 degrees. 106 octane unleaded. stock fuel press. 22 inch slicks, i have the plate kit jetted a litle rich right now because its the only jets i have right now NOS reccomends 34n and 22 f for 80 shot i'm runnng34n 24 f . only other mods are int, exh, and a gutted cat.
So you have no other controllers?? Not even a nitrous controller or a vafc??
nope none at all
stock ecu & ignition
thanks for all the helps all, once classes start again, im gonna be checking shiat out. i'll let y'all know whats up when I figure it out =P

thanks again
don't do any half ass installs, you'll regret it. do it right, once, and be happy. you'll piss your pants the first time you spray, i know i did. be sure you have a micro switch to activate your system, and i'd recommend a purge kit and rpm window switch (msd). good luck

When u run it rich like that does your car bog a little when u first hit it.?I know mine does when I try to run the rich settings.
yes it did bog alittle with the timing at 12 degrees. as i started adding more timing the less it would bog. 15 degrees had no detanation with the race gas. also with it jetted rich and the timing set at 12 degrees it only put down 206hp and 178 tq. the shop owner was the one who suggested i start bumping up the timing. at 15 degrees it put down 223 hp and 223.5 tq . not bad for just playing with the timing. i just got my 100 shot jets in and now timing is back at 12degrees till i can get it back on hte dyno for tuning. car pulls a lot harder now though
