16's or 17's on a civic?

right now i got gunmetal 17's on my civic and they look nice, but my brother is buying them from me and i'm planning on getting something with a polished lip...maybe the rota subzero's if i get cheap. but with a light color (silver) rim and polish lip in 17 look too big for a civic? will silver 16" rims with a polished lip look just right? i've never really payed attention to the difference until now because i'm planning to buy a rim like this, so if anybody can help me out let me know. thanks!

17's look nice, but i like 16's because they give you a little more ride comfort and they are usually a little lighter so they don't hamper performance as much. another good think about 16's is because they aren't rapped with rubber bands you don't piss your pants as much when you hit a pothole :)
if u going with rims with a lip i say go with the 17" it would look better...and if u get the rota's then go with 16":D
16" Rota Sub-Zeros. Cheap. Light. Sexy.
i didn't notice you said something about a polished lip before. if you want a polished lip go 17's, i have a polished lip on my zieges and it makes the rim look tiny, like a 15 not like a 16 unless your standing 20 or so feet away then they look bigger, hard to explain. just get 17's if you want a polished lip.

if i went with rota i was planning on getting their subzero with polished lip...so that's kinda right in between what you just said. the difference in price between the rota's is small, so that makes no difference, i just don't wanna get 16's w/lip and have them look too small, or 17s with lip and have them look to big. i don't know which way the illusion works...bigger or smaller.
get the 17's :) i have 16's with a polished lip and they looked small.
I wish I would of got 18's at times instead of 17's. So, I say at least 17's....
17's for looks, 16's for performance
Get some dubs for your civic, bling bling!

You wouldn;t be able to turn guy!
 :D

Rota's will be a fad...everyone and their brother will have them...then you'll be a ricer. Since mods that get too common become ricey. ie altezzas.
i have 17s and i love them and get compliments all the time on them. so i'd say 17s
I don't think 17's are going to give you a "noticable" ride difference than 16's - I believe you will only notice the ride to "deteriorate" when the car gets lower and lower to the ground.
Different rims look different at different sizes...confused? Well What I am saying is that some 16's look like 17's but only depending on the rims style, some 17 look like 16 cause it might have a deep dish style rim....it only depends on the rim, 16 are good because they look like 17's (depends on your drop) and weigh less...
yes...my 16's looks like 15's cause of the design..:(
same with mine, althought right now i'm rolling on the 14" steelies lol
