if the rims are 17x7, i think they should fit just fine... stock aluminum wheels are +50 offset for your gen, so +40 offset on 17x7 rims shouldnt stick out.
yeah they are 17x7
I run 16's with a 40mm offset and with a 205/45 size tire I don't rub, EXCEPT on super windy days at higher speeds. You might wanna think about a 42 to avoid this but 40 works fine except in those cicrumstances.Might be different on 17's but I would think it'd be a little worse.
it'll rub later if you gonna lowered your car... 17" wheels should be +42 or higher...
i've got a 6th gen with 17" and neuspeed sport springs. My wheels a have 42mm offset and my front tires are flush with my fenders. If I go 2" lower the fender would literally rest on the tire. Get wheels with 45 offset if you can. I wish I did.
i wish that i did got higher offset too.... i got +40 offset on my 18's
like everyone said, try to get a higher offset. most 17" rims come with +40 or +42 mm offset, unless for those really expensive ones.
do you guys know any good web cites to buy rims from
besides...1010tires.com...tirerack.com...discounttiredirect.com???
thx
also my car is stock height..it is not dropped ...will it still rub with stock height or only after i drop it?
what if i drop it 1" and go with a +40 offset ...do you think it will rub then?
thx
it won't rub often if you're @ stock height.. but if u carry like 2 more people on ur car.. then i'll starts to rub more... definately 1" will still rub.

Well, I have a 1.8" drop, 42 offset, and 17"s and I only rub on hard cornering. With 3 people total in my car, I took a 180degree ramp onto the highway kinda fast and I heard it rub. I did it again by myself, but faster, and my friend behind me said he heard it rub, but I couldn't hear it.
The offset depends on the width of the rim, so if some of us are running 16x6.5's and others are running 18x8's it's gonna make a difference what offset setting you're at. i'm on a 19x8 and my offset was 45mm and my wheels sit in perfectly.

Good point gug....
thank you JTEVO2Accord...
hey do you guys think 18x7.5 with +40 offset will be a perfect fit? thx
hey im thinking about going with 18x7.5 rims and 225/40/18 tires ...do you guys think its gonna be a good fit? is it gonna rub?
i also noticed that 96 accord has some bar which is a part of suspension and its right above the rear wheel...i wonder if it can be adjusted ....cuz with this size tires it may rub against that bar.
what do you guys think? thx

no way.. it'll rub like crazy when you starts loading people in your car....

if you're gonna get 18's best get it with +45 offset to prevent rubing...
yeah im going with 18x7.5 with +45 offset...
just cant decide on the tire size...
should i go with 225/40/18 or 215/40/18 what will fit and what will not fit? what do you guys think?
thx:)
