18's are fine, i have them on my car....the only problem is that you cant make a full right or left turn because the insides of the tires rub the fender wall...but you get use to it after a while...the ride is just like 17's.....
no, i think it's the other way it's 35mm for 18's.motion said:Hey bro don't listen to those guys. If you want 18" then go with 18". I have a homie that doesn't drive on anything thats smaller than 17". He's boosted with Drag 3 turbo so accelerating slower won't make a difference to him. Just make sure you get the right offset. I think it's 45mm.
This is not necessarily true. If you get the correct tire size to go with the 18" wheels then your speedo will NOT be off. With 18's you need to get 205/35 tires.151 Proof said:Just so you know, you will accelerate slower with 18's and your speedometer will be even more inaccurate than it is stock.
uhhh, i think he meant that the weight of an 18" wheel is heavier, therefore it will make it slower at accelerating.CivicDude2000 said:

I was responding to the part about his speedo being off, not about the part where he referred to accelerating slower. Accelerating more slowly will, of course, always happen with larger wheels.GhostRider said:

If they don't look right on compact car, why do most cars entered in shows now rollin on 17+ rims?Hybrid Fever said:18's and up are for SUV's, trucks, and exotic cars. Don't ruin your car with 18's, it's too much to worry about and it doesn't look right on a compact car. Thats my opinion.
