I recently purchased an old 88 integra...it is in great shape and I had my friend do a pretty good tune up on it. However, lately , it has been a little iffy on starting and it seems like whenever i get it up to high revs or try to accelerate quickly (its an automatic) it will just stall and die. After that, it will take 5-10 mins to start back up, and when it does it acts like nothing happened at all. Everything shuts off when this happens, power breaks, power steering, and all my electronics... I am not sure if starting it up in the first place could be related to this or if it is just my starter, but im curious to know why it stalls. Another friend suggested it could be the vaporization of the fuel burning, but I am not sure if that would affect the electronics and what not, any ideas?
