synchros are one of the most common things that go bad, so make sure its shifts nice into 2nd and 3rd even at high rpm.
otherwise just treat it like buying any other car, check every single thing and dont trust the buyer at at all.
if you can afford it have it checked by somone you know, preferably a mechanic.
If the previous owner was a teenage boy you might reconsider. They usually treat Hondas like crap, at least around here they do.
Otherwise as said above make sure the transmission has no grinds. Many older Honda transmissions sometimes grind into reverse, this is okay but is a bonus if it doesn't. If it does put some quality trans fluid in there and you're good to go.
