Oh, it's an old thread. But I decided to share my experience. I had a similar A/C problem. Perhaps my experience will be useful to someone. For a very long time, my air conditioner had this problem. I didn't know what it was. I tried everything I could to fix it. I've taken it apart and reassembled it many times. It turned out that it was necessary to call quality aircon servicing
and trust a specialist. As a result, it was a problem with the contacts, so guys from air conditioner servicing cleaned them and the air conditioner worked like new. However, I had to replace the filters in my A/C. But it's better than buying a new air conditioner.
I had so many issues with this as well. Sometimes when my engine is off while the car is on a halt at a traffic light the air con stops working and only restarts when I start running the engine. I think it was the fuse problem if i recall correctly. I brought my car air con to be serviced by subcool.sg and they managed to fix it. I hope this helps.
I also had issues with my air con in this area. Weirdly it only turns cool when the engine is running really hard like when i am on the highway. I had to bring my car for servicing according to some air con servicing articles I read online. It said that my coolant was probably on a low level or there could be a freon leakage. My air con service man is coming tomorrow to take a look.
