I want to buy a 2000 Honda Accord V6 fully loaded, leather interior good condition for $300 with one problem, they said it has shifting issues.
The car is automatic ,I recovered the codes and the only stored code is P0780 i looked at the transmission and it was low in transmission fluid, so I did not want to road test till I get some to fill it up, the color was a litlle dark but no burned oddor.
The car has 132k miles and checking the VIN it was part of the transmission settelement but now is out of the extended warranty to try to call Honda, I don t know if even they will allow a ,,goodwill" repair request.
Do you guys have any ideeas what to try? I know that a replacement trany is very expensive, does anybody know a decent mechanic in Chicago?
Thank you.

No I am serious is $300, I know that is worth that much but I need a working car, as far as I know a trany can get to $3000 installed so for that much I can buy a used working car from a dealer lot without the need to replace a transmission.
