Hi Everyone....I just got a 2001 Prelude sportshift and I was wondering How many RPMS is the car suppose to rev at 75 MPH...mine revs 4300 rpms going 75 mph. Is this normal?

4300RPM at 75mph??? Thats really high, my friend's SS Prelude runs around 3500RPM at 75mph. Are you in 4th gear or 3rd gear at this point? sounds like you are in 3rd gear to me.

We can't race with a SS? So that means I shouldn't be going to Gateway to drag or compete in autox? He wasn't even talking about racing, he just wanted to know where his rpms should be. Enlighten me Obi One.

Thank you so much for the intelligent answer Prelude1897...I see that your insight is dripping over from the other boards. Who cares is someone bought an automatc. So if he wanted to race people he should have bought a 5 speed civic dx and be able to beat a SS Prelude. HA! I see..It doesn't matter what kind of car it is as long as its a 5speed. I get it. I'm scrapping the Prelude and going to start racing my 5 speed Saturn..
