Covers are ghetto man. If she has a sedan, take out the orange box leaving only the red and clear. If she has a coupe, I'd have them professionally smoked to the tint you want. I've seen that on a black coupe, looked great.

I have red/clear tails on my sedan and still have the clear bulbs for signals...never had a problem with cops...going on 1.5 years like that.
