Honda Accord
Confirmed - All new for 2003 inside and out. Inside information is confirming an available 6-spd manual for the V-6 Coupe.
Rumors - More interior room, increased horsepower (170hp 2.4L in 4cyl, 240hp 3.5L in the V-6). Possible Navigation System and Type R version (220hp 4cyl). Honda is saying this will be the most radical model change in its' history.

got some mock-up pics of the new accord

i read in some magazine, road and track maybe?, i dunno, i forget..anyways..said its gonna be bigger and faster..well duh..they didnt' say much else.

anyone have any other news or rumors?

if its true about them bringing the type r over..i'll be out buying one...i know they're making a version of an accord to replace the prelude..could the type r be it?? i hope so

The V6 has already all but replaced the prelude. That's where the big power plant is going. They deffinatly had to step up since all the other manufacurers were too.

I can't wait to see the new accord in the showrooms

Why would the type R have the 4 cyl....when the other models might have 225+ hp plus 6 speed. I havnt seen a "real" looking picture yet of one, and not too sure about those facts. And from most of the prototypes ive seen, i dont like. Especially if they put civic or RSX type headlights on it

wow, wouldnt that be nice. but i doubt the part about the v6 getting a 3.5 and also the type r version coming to america.

i promise you there wont be a 6 speed in the accord coupe. it would be direct competition to the CL-S six speed. I am sure the accord will get a 5 speed.

i just hope whatever they come up with will look COOL ...unlike many other cars that just keep on getting uglier and uglier...

I think I'll take the 220hp I4 dohc ones!!! since it'll reb higher then the V6!!

from all the latest, i understand that it will share a whole shit load of things, including the tranny and engine as the cl-s... the latest debate is over whether or not the accord will come with HID or not... i hope so dammit.. but the accord will always be a FWD... since in essence it is still a family car... even the damn ludy was a FWD... the 240hp 6speed has a better than 70% chance of making it.

According to the super street issue covering the the new accord they did have an navigation system on it.
